I don't have a racist bone in my body, but if I did. Spin the rock, spin the one this week's episode of The One More Time Show brought to you by White Claude, Spiked Sparkling Seltzer. This is the mango flavor. Shout out to our sponsor, Adam W for sending us the mangoes. Not a fan of the mangoes. Honestly, this is probably the worst flavor. Adam, if you could get your shit in order, send me any other flavor. I would very much appreciate it. What's that, Ben? What is your favorite flavor of White Claude? Literally any other anything but mango. Just not mango. Yeah, not mango is my favorite flavor. For sure. So a lot's been going on this week, Henry. It's been a we have a lot to talk about. Jam-packed week. Some of which we have actual, you know, solid, valid opinions on, some of which we might not have actually a uh a reason to be commenting, but nonetheless, we're still gonna do it. Some of it we're just speculating on, and we'll we'll be roasted on TikTok later for it, but we encourage it. Bring it on, motherfuckers.

0:59

Bring it on in the comment section. This first one I do feel like I have the right to comment. Okay. Because I'm a little bit pissed that my girl Dua Lipa is allegedly locked down by none other none other than Jack Harlow. I guess the song worked. He literally made a song called Dua Lipa, and uh, what does he say in the song? It's I I want to do more with you than just do a feature. Yeah. Yeah. And like for those of you that thought it was corny, joke's on you, motherfuckers. Jack's winning. Jack's got the riz, is what uh the internet is saying. The Riz is the new one. His Riz game is strong. He's got the riz. So I first saw Riz and I was like, what the fuck is this? Did you Google it like me? I just saw enough videos to put two and two together context clues, you know? Yeah. So yeah, no, I didn't have to Google it, but I was very confused at first. Yeah. Score one for the manifestors of the world. You guys that just want to make shit happen by putting it out in the world. There it is.

1:57

Fucking Jack locked her down. Shout out to him. So is this the first example that you know of about a rapper making a song after a woman that he, you know, has, I guess, you know, aspirations of dating. Is this the first time it's worked? Or is it the first time? Glad you asked. I actually looked into this a little bit. And I was hoping you hadn't done your research, but go ahead. I low key like deep dived into um people naming songs after celebrities, not just like men naming after women, but just people naming songs after celebrities that maybe they wanted to get with, you know, maybe not. Was this like a Reddit rabbit hole that you went down? It was a it was a pretty like toxic, it was like a TMZ, like shitty, you know. Did you come out of that one feeling like wow? Why do I know so much about you know what I'm saying? I felt like I had gossip good stuff to talk about on the one more time show. There you go. So a good one is um Armani White, Billie Eilish. Obviously, that's a good big recent one. Yeah, but he didn't lock her down. No, but maybe he's trying to.

2:53

He might. Maybe we're. But she's dating someone. Well, you know, maybe he's biding his time. He's just, you know, he's putting the the the long game. He's playing the long game. That guy's feeling nervous. He was like, shit, it worked for Jack. Yeah, no, pressure's on Armani. He's Checking Billy's phone, like, yo, who's this Armani guy texting you? Yeah. So Drake has the song Madonna that was on. If you're reading this, it's too late. They obviously I don't think they dated, but she he did perform the song at Coachella one year, and she came out and like kissed him on the cheek or whatever. And speaking of that, did you see Drake's chain that he bought? Oh my god, 42 or something engagement rings On one chain for the 42 times he's wanted to get married. You think one of them was Madonna? I think so. I think you're onto something. No, but I mean, I looked at that also of like you wanted to get married 42 times. I believe it. I mean, bro, it's Drake. I mean, how many times have you wanted to get married? Oh, yeah, no. Zero, right?

3:50

I mean, but you're not Drake. Yeah, I'm not Drake for sure. You know, I think percentage-wise, me and Drake might be close, you know. Sure. The amount of girls you've been with, much. For the amount of times you've wanted to get married. Yeah, I would say the ratio is. It's kind of proportionate. Probably proportionate. Okay, fair enough. If I had to guess. Fair enough. But okay, so also um Ariana Grande has a song called Pete Davidson on her album. I think it's called Sweetener. Came out in 2018. They got engaged in 2018. She dropped the album. It was one of the later songs that obviously didn't work out. Are all of these songs like positive about the you know the namesake? Or are any of them like diss tracks, right? Like the ones that I looked into are pretty much, yeah, like very positive. Yeah, okay, like looking up to or like talking nice about the person that it's about. No one's made a track yet that's like fuck that person or anything yet. But um, and then the last one I that was kind of notable, I thought was cool. Taylor Swift's first single, the first track on her first album when she's 16 years old, is called Tim McGraw.

4:55

Wow. Yeah. Shout out to our boy Gabe who just did a feature with Tim McGraw recently, Gabriel Averitt. It's called I Like It I Love It now streaming on all platforms. For sure. Um, I don't know if she was trying to get with him. She was 16, and so it'd be kind of weird, but well, it could be kind of it's cute because it's her, like if it was him to make it a song for a 16-year-old, it would have been weird. Yeah, and I mean, you know, she obviously like grew up in the Nashville, like country songwriting capital of the world. So it was probably just like a she looks up to Tim. It was a cute little thing. I mean, maybe she wanted to fuck him, I don't know. She probably wanted to fuck him, honestly. I think so. 16-year-old girls, we know. That's that's you know, about that time when shit starts getting crazy. Starting to feel a little bit of something down there. Having boners in class, all that. So what else has been going on? Let's see. Let's see. How about how about the World Cup, man? You are you big on soccer at all? You watch soccer? I'm one of these people, right? I don't really watch it majority the four years in between each World Cups, right? Yeah, fair.

5:53

But I do love the World Cup. I get super into it. I get it. Especially when the US, you know, has had any runs. Like that's like really, really fun here. You know what I mean? Well, I'm just saying, in in general, I do like catch myself getting into it. You know what I mean? Yeah, um, there's something about it. it's the biggest sport in the world. It's fun. It's the same thing with me for the Olympics. It's kind of this, I don't know what it is with the fascination I have with like countries, you know, competing against each other in athletics, but like there's something super exciting about it. There's like a sense of pride. It's funny too, because most of these countries have been just like at war with each other before and like killed each other. So it's kind of just like revisiting the you know, like today, France played Morocco. I'm pretty sure France colonized Morocco. So this is like a whole, you know, that's a whole other kind of arc to the story of it. So yeah, it's very interesting to kind of get together in a way that people don't die. Yeah, and Morocco was the first African team, I think, to make it to the semis or something. Yeah, yeah.

6:51

I was really rooting for Morocco, man. Yeah, I really was. They got colonized once again. Jesus Christ. Um, yeah, fuck France. Um, I don't have a racist bone in my body, except for when it comes to French people. But if I did, I'm not a fan of French people. Maybe I went to France uh in high school. We took a uh school trip to France and Spain, and man, they are just not nice, especially Americans. They just don't like American people at all. Is it the accent? Not a fan. I like the accent. I think it's a sexy language. It rolls off the tongue. Oh, zoom boom doom. Like I get it. They're very sexual people. You know, and that's fine. that's a stereotype, isn't it? I think it's have you actually met some like horny as fuck French girls that I don't know French people. So how do you know? I don't know. I just heard that, you know, Frenchman will, you know, he likes a girl, he uh gets a baguette and a bottle of wine and goes up to the girl's window and starts singing some French shit. I don't know, man.

7:50

But yeah, he's throwing rocks at the window. They were very rude to me, and I was literally a high school kid that didn't know anything. And our teacher literally said, pretend to be Canadian, and they'll be nicer to you. Wow. And she was right. So shout out to her. Go Argentina. Argentina. And also because Messi has never won a world cup. And that come on, bro. That blows my mind, actually. He's the best player of all time. And Argentina clearly has had a very like historic program, I feel like. So that shocks me. Once again, I'm not like the biggest soccer nerd. Like, I didn't even know that that was true, but that really shocks me to be honest. They got blown out by Germany in 2000, I think 14. Um, and then I think that was the only time Messi went to the finals. So give this man one World Cup. He also just announced today that this will be his last World Cup. So this is the last chance. Give Messi a World Cup, man. He deserves it. France literally won four years ago. They won the last one. Fuck them. So we're Team Argentina. Team Argentina all the way.

8:46

All the way, all the way. So, in other news, East Atlanta Santa, Mr. Zone Six himself, Gucci Mane. Oh, God, I know where this is going. Dropped an 80-song project. The total runtime is three hours and 51 minutes. Are you listening? Do you have enough time in your life to get through this project? Oh man, it's tough because I love Gucci, man. That's my guy. That's my guy. Um, I'll say this. If anyone could do that, it would be Gucci. Because this is a guy that back in the day was dropping a mixtape every two, three weeks. And I was listening to all of those. I don't think anyone's debating whether he has the music volume, Henry. I think people are wondering, and the comment section was hilarious about this, right? People were like, that shit longer than Avatar 2. You know what I mean? They were just like basically naming like something that's long as fuck and saying like that shit's longer than it. And I don't know. I found it hilarious. 80 songs.

9:42

80 songs, three hours and 51 minutes. That's my guy. And no, I can't say I'm gonna listen to the whole thing. I don't mean albums are like sub 30 minutes a lot of times now. Yeah. Three hours and 51 minutes. Respect it. Give him some respect though for like having the amount of music. Yeah, what if it's fire? What if it's 80 songs of straight heat? Well, there's definitely gems in there, at least. At the minimum, there's like fire songs in within there. How many minutes of the three hours and 51 minutes do you think are gonna be heat? I don't want to like put that out there. But some more than zero for sure. Oh God. That's going to be such a soft take. Listen, I'm not listening to the four hour. I mean, favorite Gucci project. Let's hear it. Just any tape he dropped with drama back in the day. I mean, I mean, just mixtape Gucci was different, man. This guy was literally dropping. There was what there was one series where Gucci did a mixtape with three different DJs, and it was like the Cold War series. He did like so the Soviet project.

10:48

Like the British and the United States. I don't know. It was crazy with three different DJs. That was a wild, wild era for sure. But yeah, I don't know. I'm not getting through four hours of it, probably. But I'm gonna play some of it. Maybe I'll put it on the background while I'm doing some other shit. Yeah, how are you gonna choose? Oh, you're not okay. Yeah, just start from the top. So you're gonna go through it, but then just go about my life and maybe I'll be like, oh, okay, this one's kind of riding. Yeah, maybe get some chores done. Yeah, you know? Yeah. Throw some laundry in, fold some laundry to the new Gucci. Thinking about trap life. How else does anyone get their laundry done? Trap music. Yeah. That's how. For sure. So what else is going on? I did see that since the midterms ended, there is a re renewed interest in the powers that be for banning TikTok in the United States. Say it ain't so. It's so. This is an idea brought up by Trump. I think he was the one that popularized it, if you will. Uh basically citing that China is using the app to get access to our data, our lives, invading our privacy, this and that.

11:55

And since the midterms ended, there's been what for whatever reason a resurgence in this idea. And it seems like Republican and Democrats alike on both sides of the House and the Senate are kind of in agreement that it might be a good idea. I did hear an interview clip talking about how they had some privacy lawyer deep dive into all the most popular social media applications and just apps in general. And hands down, by far, TikTok is the most invasive when it comes to the T's and C's, like the terms and conditions, right? Like, so they're not the they have this, you know. They have a case. Exactly. Like their stance is not like unfounded. Yeah. Right? Like, they're coming at this from, and none of I mean, have you read it? Have you read the the the fucking terms and conditions? What kind of question is that? Who reads the terms and conditions? Exactly. So none of us here can actually comment on to like you know what exactly is happening, right, with our data and our and our privacy. For sure.

12:52

My point always is, and like maybe I'm alone in this. I really don't give a fuck. Thank you. Thank you. I want the best content. Thank you at all times. And if that means you need to know what my face looks like, you need to know where I'm at right then. I don't know that I care. I'm with you, bro. This is I have a very similar stance. I just people just want to care, just to care. To fucking care. Cause like, here's the thing. If you are doing maybe unsavory things, if you're doing things that maybe like you don't want other people to know about, then maybe you you care even more, you know. And I'm not saying that people don't deserve privacy. Yes, you should be able to have privacy if you want, but if you live a good life and you're not doing anything crazy, you know, and you're just being kind to people and you're living your life in a in a good manner, then what's the big deal? Like, if I wake up and scratch my ass, I just automatically assume that someone in China probably knows that I did that. I don't know, like you know what I mean? And I'm okay with that.

13:48

I feel so bad for them. I'd rather my whoever's monitoring Henry's screen. Yeah, there's one guy, there's one guy who saw that. Who's responsible for it. God, Henry's scratching his ass again. I just feel like it's I don't know, man. It's not that I don't know. I'd rather my ads be like hella targeted. Targeted, yeah, shit that I'm interested in almost, you know, and just getting served the best content. Just absorb me into the matrix. I want you to know that I just listened to the new SZA album and served me up a SZA concert tour ad. I just did, and I'm sure I will indeed. Exactly. Pretty good album, by the way. Yeah. Yeah. I I haven't listened to it myself all the way through, but as I walked in the studio today, you were indeed listening to SOS by SZA. There's a few questionable ones that like literally just don't seem to fit the whole the rest of them at all. Like, where did that one come from? Which can be cool sometimes, but I don't know if she pulled it off. But the meat of it, it's a good project. Shout out, SZA. We'd love to have you on the podcast. SZA, Where are you at, my girl? Where are you at?

14:44

So I want to talk about something that is one of the hottest topics right now. We got a couple of legal situations floating around out there in the in the interwebs. That we do. One of them being the Megan Thee Stallion v. Tory Lanez case. That's the one right now. That's the one. Yeah. There is one I also want to maybe bring to light, but that one specifically. Okay, start there. That one specifically. How do you feel about just the nature of this case? How it's being, you know, portrayed on the internet. Like, where where are you at initially? The first thing that I'll say about that case is it it really like brought home how stupid some people are. It's the it's the people pretending to be lawyers thing for me, man. Or just pretending to have been there and knowing what happened. It's like people that are just fans of one or the other, automatically choosing a side.

15:44

You weren't fucking there. Why are you why are you acting like you know what happened? Why do you act like free this person, free that person? The internet has made it so easy for people to take a side so fast. This is my stance. This is oh, nah, that's bullshit. Where are all the people that are just like, I don't know yet? Like, let's figure this out. Let's uh honestly, let's have an you know unbiased objective opinion about things. Yeah, I mean, for me, it kind of reminds me of the way that the internet immediately lashed out against PNB rock's girlfriend, right? Right. It's to your point, people are so quick to make their judgment before any of the credible sources out there have actually weighed in on what the fuck happened, what the you know, repercussions are of that happening, what the laws are, like what legally is at stake here. Yes, right? I mean, that's what blows my mind the most. It's so toxic.

16:40

How did we get here as a culture? It's the hasty opinions, and it's the severity of the opinions, man. People aren't just like, yeah, like I think he's you know guilty. They're like, fuck that guy. I hope he rots in prison. I can't believe. He's like fucking woman shooters. He shot Meg. Cancel him forever. Fuck this motherfucker. Yeah, and then on the other side, it's you know, the the bitch is lying, like, you know, whatever. They're just like, and I can't even say the like hateful things that I don't even want to say the like hateful things that are out there, but it's like it's the severity, yeah. It's the it's the speed to which the opinions are delivered, the passion, it's the passion and like how are you so passionate? You don't know what the fuck happened? Chill out, yeah. It's terrible. It kind of reminds me of how people always say, like, people will be so quick to like do a long ass birthday post about their celebrities, you know, birthday that they don't know clearly, and then they'll like forget their homies' birthday. Yeah, they're brothers, right? It's like people are so passionate about topics that have literally literally nothing to do with them.

17:42

Yes, okay. Okay, how about this last little thing before we get out of here? Yeah, I don't want to talk about the other case. Gunna just got released about an hour ago. Yeah. Or something. It's too fresh. It's pretty fresh. It's too fresh. I don't want to claim to know too much, but he did plead guilty. He's like, but let me let me tell you what I know. He did plead guilty to racketeering charges. We are obviously ecstatic to have Gunna back. We needed him out. Thank God. Um what I'm just like, and he did put out a statement saying that he didn't snitch, he didn't do any interviews, he didn't do anything like that. And I believe him because uh one other thing I know is that if you have money, you can get you can get through like legal things so much easier than if you don't have money. So it's very likely that he just you know had was in a good position to be able to get here. My only concern is that if he's big, he's the I think the charges that he pled guilty to pretty much admits that YSL is in fact a gang. And I don't know if that affects other people's alleged gang members, other people's uh trials and cases right now.

18:46

Yeah, because so you know Thug has money too, but there's a lot of people in this trial. So I don't think that he snitched, I don't think he did anything like that, but I do wonder if there's any ramifications for him pleading guilty. This might be ignorant. I know that the Atlanta DA, I think, was claiming that there was going to be another high profile case right after when like Thug and Gunna, you know, were getting, you know, charged, right? Did they uh has there already been one? Or might have been. Were they flexing? No, I haven't heard of another one since then. Yeah, no. They said they were gonna another Rico was gonna come to light. And I don't think they have. Okay, because obviously everyone and their mother was like starting to speculate on, you know. I mean, there's also been like crazy fucking 21 savage informant rumors and conspiracies. I don't even want to get into that because I'm not even familiar with what people are alleging, but like the fucking internet is wild, bro. It is, it is. We love it and we hate it. Yeah, yeah, indeed. All right, well, yeah, I think that's a pretty good fucking episode, Ben.

19:44

What do you think? I mean, shout out to White Claw and one more time. Adam what who Adam W. Adam W. How could you forget Adam W. I was just emailing him today. Yeah, we were on a conference call earlier. I told you I don't fucking like the mangoes. Send me any other flavor. I love blackberry, I love strawberry, I love pineapple. This ain't it though, gang. So we'll figure it out, but keep sending the cases. One more time show. What are we doing? Yeah, peace. Bye-bye.
